The friendly beasts
This is a very old English Song called the Friendly Beasts. Long ago familes would go with their children to the barn , like the one Jesus was born in and wait the story goes for a special something to happen. The legend goes that on Christmas Eve at 12 oclock the animals would be given the power to speak and say like the Donkey and the Cow and the Dove what they gave Jesus for Christmas. It is a very ancient legend and practiced by rural families all over the world.
